Post Doctoral Fellowships in Wool Textile Studies at University of Canterbury [New Zealand]

Brief Description
These prestigious fellowships are offered to holders of PhD`s who have achieved an excellent academic record, possess good interpersonal skills and are passionate about science. They will be keen to work in applying their specialist skills towards enhancing the performance qualities and manufacturing processes of wool based products and/or contributing to the development of knowledge and new value using wool as a raw material.

Eligibility
Applications are invited for undertaking research associated with innovative projects in topics related to wool, which includes:

• Protein chemistry and proteomics
• Biopolymers
• Ultrastructure of the fibre
• Chemical treatments, including nanotechnologies
• Process chemistry and process engineering
• Machinery and instrument development
• Fabrics
• Intelligent textiles
• Apparel
• Mechanical processing
• Product development
• New added value opportunities for wool

Amount
$50,000 – $65,000 per annum
